ShiftPro - Fire Fighters App Reviews

Very nice app for firefighters. Got the info from Mark Domingue who I work with at Cal Fire. One thing that isnt currently working is the "custom" shift. We work a 48 on 48 off shift for 6 shifts and then have a six day drop / Kelly. The first month works fine and then the following month it is off by one shift. About 3 months later it shows me working 3 on 1 off. There is something wrong with this setup. Please see if this can be fixed. Also, it would be nice if you could make daily notes by touching the date as you can do with the daily iPhone calendar. I would hope these issues can be repaired. At this time I feel as if I have wasted $4.00.

As an industrial firefighter this is the only app Ive found that will work with my bizarre schedule. At a glance I know if Im working, off, on days or on nights. I can look weeks, months or even years ahead & tell you my schedule. It sure beats carrying around a little card or folded up piece of paper in your wallet. In future updates please go back to the shaded squares instead of colored numbers for better visibility. It would also be great if the app gave you the ability to set alarms to remind you of training or other events like on the apple calendar instead of having information in both places. Thanks for a great app!

Bought this app and it was a flop. Im a firefighter/paramedic and I wanted a good scheduler for my wife and I. This app said you could customize it for ANY schedule. Well, it was not customizable for my schedule. We run a 3 week cycle and I tried every way I could think of and I ended up purchasing another app and it was much better and easier. Buy only if you have a pretty normal firefighter schedule, ex. 24/48 off, etc...

This app is simple to use and works with plenty of different shift formats. I really like the custom options. Very easy to keep up with your training dates in advance so you can prepare. Vacations are easily programmed as well. The only advice I recommend to the designer is the option to enter other shifts on your calendar, so that you can keep up with who is coming into relieve you from your shift. Also, have you thought about a sick time/vacation time accural calculator? These would be great compliments to an already useful app. Enjoy!

Its a good app. but everytime I go into contacts it shuts off my app. Ive reported the problem twice and have not got back any feedback. Which now I cant keep track of swaps.

spoke to the creator many months ago asking about the ability to add daily notes, ie: dr.appts, kids day off and other misc appt. he advised it was coming soon. never happened! dont say it if its not happening. could have, and now will find another that is a COMPLETE calendar.

It really could use a spell check. This app is decent and I havent had any problems minus spelling corrections.

I am with a firefighter and I am Ems and would like to have both our schedules in one app.

Nice app looks good but you cant set multiple events the same without entering them over and over. Very much so a pain in the rear. Would have given it 4 or 5 stars otherwise

This app is not compatible with my schedule in southern California. IT IS MISLEADING as well, you must pay $.99 cents for each additional feature such as OT,trade swaps, calendar, etc. you must pay a dollar for EACH of those. I do not recommend

I was cheap and bought this app instead of the one from IAFF. My phone froze a few seconds later. Wont color code entire shift and wont color code other 2 shifts either. Not worth .99. Hoping to get a refund.

DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY!!! after you buy the app, you then have to buy the different functions like vacation days, trade ect.

I easily built my shift schedule and color coded my duty days (24s every other for 3, off 4, no kelly). I have abandoned the I phone calendar and use Shift Pro for EVERYTHING. Appointments/mtgs/events/etc are scheduled as trainings, easy to track, easy to find, easy to use. Thank you for creating and maintaining the perfect calendar! Thanks for keeping it inexpensive and hats off to you for your generous donations of the profits. This is THE BEST app! Buy it!

By far the easiest firefighter app on the market.  I use it every shift to follow my run stats and organize shift covers.  When i emailed the app designer with a question on setting up my shift pattern, I received a prompt response with the help I needed.  The custom shift set up was easier then I thought and i really did not even need to email the designer.  Great app and will recommend it to all the boys in the department.

Terrible, each feature you have to pay extra for, the calendar tell you only what days you work, no ability to add events to calendar days. Save your dollar on this one

Save your dollar not good for multiple shift schedules

Dont waste your money on this app .. Because you have to purchase everything the app says that it already has.. I real wish I could get a refund for this app.
